Come down and join us for the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade!

All individuals and groups are welcome - the only requirement is to say the following Irish blessing three times:

Health and long life to you.
A child every year to you.
And, if you can't go to heaven, may you at least die in Ireland.

Staging for the parade will take place beginning at 12th & Jackson and commences at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 (all participants must enter at 12th and Jackson).  There will be no parking in the staging area for non-parade entries, so all entrants who will be gathering their groups need to plan accordingly.  The parade will begin at high noon, leading off from 8th and Jackson.  All groups and individuals are welcome - no registration is required.  GROUPS:  Form before you come to the staging area so you can be assured to stay together.

Parade Rules

· No political advertising—please use themes that are in keeping with the spirit ‘O’ the day.

· No items of any kind can be thrown from vehicles or floats—any candy or beads must be distributed by walkers accompanying the vehicles/floats.

· All vehicles must comply with all applicable laws and be operated by licensed drivers.

· The Parade Committee reserves the right to refuse participation to any entrant that does not comply with these rules.

Again, all parade entrants are strictly prohibited from throwing candy or any items from their floats, vehicles or horses.  Walking entrants are welcome to throw candy to the public on the sidewalks, with care to make sure no one is entering the street in the path of the parade to retrieve the candy or items.

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
a full moon on a dark night,
and the road downhill all the way to your door.
